Digital Design
Rakuten helps connect shoppers to brands. Users are rewarded by receiving Cash Back, promotional deals and other shopping incentives. The platform presents shoppers with a personalized selection of deals to choose from.
At Rakuten, I supported customer, partner and internal design needs. My focus was creating promotional marketing materials for online shopping events across multiple touchpoints. Additional work included updating company brand standards and a design system for email.
Brand Toolkit
Upon Ebates becoming Rakuten Rewards, I helped create new brand standards. I updated some elements from the former Ebates, ensuring that these updates conformed to Rakuten parent brand.
In-App Placements
For in-app ad placements, I worked closely with design and product teams to ensure that the designs were on brand and to spec.
Email Design
Email is the primary entry point to the Rakuten shopping experience. I helped design marketing emails and contributed to a design system for them. Marketing emails mirrored the app to create a visually cohesive experience.
